WRJE-LP 96.1 FM, St. Joseph’s nonprofit educational radio station, is excited to introduce a new short-format educational program airing several times each day: Science and the Sea™.
Science and the Sea™ offers listeners engaging, story-driven insights into marine science and oceanography. Each two-minute segment is crafted by scriptwriters drawing on research from the University of Texas Marine Science Institute and lessons taught in their highly popular college course, Introduction to Oceanography, taken by hundreds of non-science majors every year.
The program is broadcast nationally across commercial and public radio stations, and we’re proud to bring it to northwest Missouri as part of our mission to provide meaningful, accessible educational content to our local community. Even though we’re far from the coast, the ocean shapes our climate, economy, and environment—making this knowledge valuable for everyone.
